Herniation of liver and uterus through congenital abdominal wall defects

Abstract

|
Two cases of unusual type of congenital abdominal wall hernia which contained liver and uterus are presented. A nine-year-old girl has almost entire her liver herniated through a huge congenital umbilical hernia. Operative. reduction and. primary abdominal wall closure were. feasible. The other case was a 8-week-old infant who showed. sudden appearance of solid, -nonreducible mass in the left inguinal region, which extended´- down to labium. On exploration, ´uterus and adnexae were prolapsed; through the left external inguinal ring.
